News and Notes

The image in the banner at the top left is called "Deja Vu" and was created by Arthur Secunda.  He speaks about it here.

For those interested in learning the latest in déjà vu research, a book by Chris Moulin is well-worth reading (and maybe even owning): The Cognitive Neuropsychology of Déjà Vu (New York and London: Routledge, 2018).

A book that is a bit older (2004) but still one of the very best is Prof. Alan S. Brown's the déjà vu experience. I refer to it often.

A list of 652 déjà vu items can be accessed by clicking here.

There are some nice quotes about déjà vu here: https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Déjà_vu

Three papers have been published in the past couple of years:

The data on which the last two papers are based is now available online at figshare (search for Funkhouser or déjà vécu).

On Facebook there is a Deja Vu Research group created by Boban Eranimos, Kerala, India.

On July 29th (2016) one of us answered questions about dreams, about déjà vu, and about dreaming among the elderly in an AMA on the dreams sub-reddit.  The link to it is here.

A paper by Prof. Michael Schredl (Mannheim) and Art Funkhouser was featured in the November - December issue of the Journal of Consciousness Studies (vol. 21, pp. 7 - 18, 2014).   The title is "Déjà Vécu and Déjà Visité: Similarities and Differences: Initial Results from an Online Investigation."

Art Funkhouser gave a lecture on Friday, June 25th, 2010 and led a workshop on Saturday, June 26th, 2010 on déjà experience at the Rhine Research Center in Durham, N.C., USA.

A two part interview was made with him by Anthony Peake, the author of "Is There Life After Death" and "The Daemon".  Both parts can be seen by clicking here.

Some preliminary results of an on-line déjà vu questionnaire can be seen by going here.
